CANADA NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATIONS ACT

Order Fixing the Day after the Day on which the Order is Made as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to subsection 372(1) of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, chapter 23 of the Statutes of Canada, 2009, hereby fixes the day after the day on which this Order is made as the day on which sections 300 to 302, 304 and 310, subsections 311(1), (3) and (4), the portion of section 313 before paragraph (a), paragraphs 313(c), (e), (g), (i), (k), (m), (o), (q), (t), (v), (x), (z), (z.02), (z.04), (z.1), (z.5) and (z.8) and sections 361 to 371 of the Act come into force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The Order fixes the day after the day on which the Order is made as the day on which certain provisions of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act come into force. Those provisions repeal certain provisions of the Canada Corporations Act once all the bodies corporate subject to Part IV of the Act have continued into the Canada Business Corporations Act or have been dissolved, and make consequential amendments to other federal Acts.
