GENERAL CAMPAIGN STAR AND GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL REGULATIONS, 2009

Order Awarding of the General Service Medal with the ALLIED FORCE ribbon

P.C. 2010-251 March 10, 2010

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby

(a) repeals Order in Council P.C. 2004-754 of June 17, 2004 (see footnote a) and Order in Council P.C. 2007-383 of March 22, 2007 (see footnote b);

(b) pursuant to paragraph 9(a) of the General Campaign Star and General Service Medal Regulations, 2009 (see footnote c), determines that persons who served in Aviano and Vicenza, Italy, or in Skopje, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, in direct support of Operation ALLIED FORCE, for at least 30 cumulative days during the period beginning on March 24, 1999 and ending on June 10, 1999 have rendered service recognized as worthy of the award of the General Service Medal with the ALLIED FORCE ribbon;

(c) pursuant to paragraph 9(b) of those Regulations, specifies that the ALLIED FORCE ribbon referred to in paragraph (b) shall be 32 mm in width, consisting of an 18 mm red stripe in the middle, flanked by 2 mm white stripes and 5 mm light blue stripes; and

(d) pursuant to subsection 17(2) of those Regulations, determines that the General Service Medal with the ALLIED FORCE ribbon referred to in paragraph (b) shall be worn after the General Campaign Star with the EXPEDITION ribbon.
