GENERAL CAMPAIGN STAR AND GENERAL SERVICE MEDAL REGULATIONS, 2009

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby
(a) repeals Order in Council P.C. 2004-753 of June 17, 2004 (see footnote a);
(b) pursuant to paragraph 9(a) of the General Campaign Star and General Service Medal Regulations, 2009 (see footnote b), determines that fighter pilots and Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) crew members who flew at least five sorties during Operation ALLIED FORCE from March 24 to June 10, 1999 in the theatre of operations consisting of the air space over Kosovo and other territories of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Albania, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and the Adriatic and Ionian Seas have rendered service recognized as worthy of the award of the General Campaign Star with the ALLIED FORCE ribbon;
(c) pursuant to paragraph 9(b) of those Regulations, specifies that the ALLIED FORCE ribbon referred to in paragraph (b) shall be 32 mm in width, consisting of a 12 mm light blue stripe in the middle, flanked by 2 mm white stripes and 8 mm red stripes; and
(d) pursuant to subsection 17(1) of those Regulations, determines that the General Campaign Star with the ALLIED FORCE ribbon referred to in paragraph (b) shall be worn after the South-West Asia Service Medal.
