MINISTRIES AND MINISTERS OF STATE ACT

Order Terminating the Assignment of the Honourable David Emerson and Assigning the Honourable James Moore to Assist the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Canadian Heritage

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 11 (see footnote a) of the Ministries and Ministers of State Act (see footnote b), hereby

(a) terminates the assignment of the Honourable David Emerson, made by Order in Council P.C. 2006-31 of February 6, 2006 (see footnote c); and

(b) assigns the Honourable James Moore, a Minister of State to be styled Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific Gateway) (2010 Olympics) (Official Languages), to assist

(i) the Minister of Transport with respect to the Asia-Pacific Gateway in the carrying out of that Minister’s responsibilities, and

(ii) the Minister of Canadian Heritage with respect to the 2010 Olympics and the Official Languages in the carrying out of that Minister’s responsibilities.
