Order Fixing November 17, 2007 as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to section 123 of the Budget Implementation Act, 2007, assented to on June 22, 2007, being chapter 29 of the Statutes of Canada, 2007, hereby fixes November 17, 2007 as the day on which subsections 91(2), 104(2) and 113(2) of that Act come into force.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order.)
The Order fixes November 17, 2007, as the day on which subsections 91(2), 104(2) and 113(2) of the Budget Implementation Act, 2007 come into force. Those subsections replace the definition of "eligible financial contract" in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Winding-up and Restructuring Act in order to allow the Governor in Council to prescribe its meaning by regulation.
