Order Fixing July 9, 2007 as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to subsection 108(1) of the Federal Accountability Act, assented to on December 12, 2006, being chapter 9 of the Statutes of Canada, 2006, hereby fixes July 9, 2007 as the day on which sections 2 to 34 of that Act come into force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The Order fixes July 9, 2007 as the day on which certain provisions of the Federal Accountability Act come into force. Those provisions enact the Conflict of Interest Act and make consequential amendments in furtherance of that Act.
