REGULATORY IMPACT ANALYSIS STATEMENT
(This statement is not part of the Regulations.)
Description
This amendment to the Statutory Instruments Regulations exempts licences, permits and other authorizing instruments issued pursuant to regulations under the Canada National Parks Act from the registration requirements of the Statutory Instruments Act.
It has been determined that these licences, permits and other authorizing instruments are so numerous that registration is not reasonably practicable.
Moreover, persons who are affected by these licences, permits and other authorizing instruments receive copies on issuance.
It is expected that the amendment will have no impact on Canadians. The Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations program was developed to streamline the regulatory process as well as to reduce costs.
