Whereas the Governor in Council considers that it is in the public interest to amend certain remission orders made under the Financial Administration Act;
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 23(2) (see footnote a) of the Financial Administration Act, hereby makes the annexed Order Amending Certain Remission Orders made under the Financial Administration Act (2000-2).
ORDER AMENDING CERTAIN REMISSION ORDERS MADE UNDER THE FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION ACT (2000-2)
TRUCK EQUIPMENT REMISSION ORDER
1. (1) Subsection 3(1) of the Truck Equipment Remission Order (see footnote 1) is amended by adding the word "and" at the end of paragraph (c) and by repealing paragraphs (d) (see footnote 2) and (e) (see footnote 3).
(2) Subsection 3(2) of the Order is repealed.
2. Section 4 (see footnote 4) of the Order is repealed.
UNIVERSAL EQUIPMENT REMISSION ORDER
3. (1) Subsection 3(1) of the Universal Equipment Remission Order (see footnote 5) is amended by adding the word "and" at the end of paragraph (c) and by repealing paragraphs (d) (see footnote 6) and (e) (see footnote 7).

This Order implements, in part, the recommendations and rulings of the Dispute Settlement Body of the World Trade Organization that found measures implementing the Auto Pact in Canada to be inconsistent with Canada's obligations under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994, the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures and the General Agreement on Trade in Services.
