PRIVACY ACT

Order Amending the Privacy Act Heads of Government Institutions Designation Order

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition "head" in section 3 of the Privacy Act, hereby makes the annexed Order Amending the Privacy Act Heads of Government Institutions Designation Order.

ORDER AMENDING THE PRIVACY ACT HEADS OF GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS DESIGNATION ORDER

AMENDMENTS

1. The schedule to the French version of the Privacy Act Heads of Government Institutions Designation Order(see footnote 1) is amended by adding the following after item 9:

2. The schedule to the French version of the Order is amended by adding the following after item 18:

3. The schedule to the English version of the Order is amended by adding the following after item 21:

4. The portion of item 36 of the schedule to the English version of the Order in column II is replaced by the following:

6. The schedule to the English version of the Order is amended by adding the following after item 82.1:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These amendments designate the heads of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Office of the Interim Commissioner of Nunavut, and Defense Construction (1951) Ltd., for the purposes of the Privacy Act.
