Rules Amending the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada

Pursuant to section 97(see footnote a) of the Supreme Court Act, the undersigned judges of the Supreme Court of Canada hereby make the annexed Rules Amending the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada.

RULES AMENDING THE RULES OF THE SUPREME COURT OF CANADA

AMENDMENTS

1. (1) Subsection 32(1) of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada(see footnote 1) is amended by striking out the word "or" at the end of paragraph (a), by adding the word "or" at the end of paragraph (b) and by adding the following after paragraph (b):

(c) the constitutional validity or the constitutional applicability of a common law rule.

(2) Subsection 32(2)(see footnote 2) of the Rules is repealed.

COMING INTO FORCE

2. These Rules come into force on October 1, 1998.
