FIREARMS ACT

Order Fixing December 1, 1998 as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to subsection 193(1) of the Firearms Act, assented to on December 5, 1995, being chapter 39 of the Statutes of Canada, 1995, hereby amends Order in Council P.C. 1998-1661 of September 16, 1998(see footnote a) by replacing the words "fixes October 1, 1998" with the words "fixes December 1, 1998".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order amends an order made earlier which would have brought the Act into force on October 1, 1998, and instead brings the Act into force on December 1, 1998.
