Order Fixing July 31, 1998 as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to section 24 of An Act to amend the Telecommunications Act and the Teleglobe Canada Reorganization and Divestiture Act ("the Act"), assented to on May 12, 1998, being chapter 8 of the Statutes of Canada, 1998, hereby fixes July 31, 1998 as the day on which sections 1 and 3 to 7 and subsection 9(1) of the Act come into force.
