Self-Government Agreements for Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and Selkirk First Nation

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, hereby, pursuant to subsection 6.2.1 of the Self-Government Agreements for Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and Selkirk First Nation listed in Schedule 2 of the Yukon First Nations Self-Government Act, consents to the attached amendment to section 14.4 of those agreements.
SCHEDULE
1. Section 14.4 of the Little Salmon/Carmacks Self-Government Agreement is replaced with:
14.4 Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation shall not exercise its power to enact laws pursuant to 14.1.2 until the expiration of the three years following the Effective Date, unless otherwise agreed between:
14.4.1 Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and Canada with respect to the co-ordination of the exercise of Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and federal tax powers; and
14.4.2 Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and Yukon with respect to the co-ordination of the exercise of Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and Yukon tax powers.
2. Section 14.4 of the Selkirk First Nation Self-Government Agreement is replaced with:
14.4 Selkirk First Nation shall not exercise its power to enact laws pursuant to 14.1.2 until the expiration of the three years following the Effective Date, unless otherwise agreed between:
14.4.1 Selkirk First Nation and Canada with respect to the co-ordination of the exercise of Selkirk First Nation and federal tax powers; and
14.4.2 Selkirk First Nation and Yukon with respect to the co-ordination of the exercise of Selkirk First Nation and Yukon tax powers
