The Commission will hold a public hearing commencing on November 12, 1998, at 9 a.m. (Issue No. 2), at the Conference Centre, Phase IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, to consider the following:

Blackburn Radio Inc.
For a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language FM (radio) programming undertaking at Sarnia, operating on a frequency of 106.3 MHz (channel 292B) with an effective radiated power of 35 000 watts, upon surrender of the current licence issued to CKTY Sarnia.
The Commission hereby advises that the above-mentioned application, which was published in Notice of Public Hearing 1998-3 dated May 14, 1998, is now scheduled at this public hearing. It should be noted that only the interventions already received, accepted and filed on the public file will be considered by the Commission in its study of this application.

PUBLIC NOTICE 1998-44-3
Canadian Television Policy Review — Public Hearing Schedule
On May 6, 1998, the Commission issued Public Notice CRTC 1998-44 to announce that it would hold a public hearing to review its Canadian television policy.
In order that the Commission may give appropriate consideration to the important policy issues raised in the comments it has received as part of this proceeding, it has allotted additional time to complete the oral public hearing. Accordingly, it advises that the oral public hearing will commence, as scheduled, on Wednesday, September 23, 1998, but may end as late as Thursday, October 15, 1998.
The Commission wishes to advise further that the oral hearing will include Saturday sessions, but that the hearing's panel will not sit at the following times:
— the morning of Monday, September 28 (the hearing will resume at 1 p.m. on that date unless otherwise announced at the hearing);
— all day on Wednesday, September 30;
— the morning of Monday, October 5 (the hearing will resume at 11 a.m. on that date unless otherwise announced at the hearing); and,
— all day on Tuesday, October 6.
A revised order of appearance will be sent to appearing interveners shortly.
Given the additional time hereby allotted to conduct the oral public hearing, the Commission extends the deadline for the submission of final written comments to no later than Wednesday, November 18, 1998. The Commission reminds interested parties to monitor the hearing, and the Commission's Web site (www.crtc.gc.ca), for information concerning any further procedural directions.
