The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (the Tribunal) has received a complaint (File No. PR-98-014) from Corel Corporation, of Ottawa, Ontario, concerning a procurement (Solicitation No. 46577-7-1709/A) by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (the Department) for the Department of National Revenue (Revenue Canada). The solicitation is for office automation suite licences. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Tribunal has decided to conduct an inquiry into this complaint.
It is alleged that the Department and Revenue Canada have failed to treat all suppliers equally in the provision of information and failed to allow sufficient time to formulate a proposal.

RECOMMENCEMENT OF INVESTIGATION
High-twist, Woven Fabric of 100 Percent Cotton
Notice is hereby given that the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (the Tribunal) has recommenced an investigation into a request (Request No. TR-95-013a) received from Doubletex (the requester) of Montréal, Quebec. The request is for the removal, for an indeterminate period of time, of the customs duty on importations from all countries of woven fabric of 100 percent cotton, unbleached, bleached for dyeing only, of yarns with a twist of 1,050 turns per metre or more in the warp and/or the weft, for use by textile converters only to produce a dyed and finished fabric for the apparel industry (the subject fabric).
The Tribunal will conduct an investigation under section 19 of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act into the appropriateness of reducing or removing the customs duty on importations of the subject fabric, which is classified under tariff item Nos. 5208.11.10, 5208.11.20, 5208.12.10, 5208.12.20, 5208.12.30, 5208.13.10, 5208.19.10, 5208.19.20, 5208.21.10, 5208.21.90, 5208.22.10, 5208.22.90, 5208.23.00, 5208.29.10, 5208.29.90, 5209.11.10, 5209.11.20, 5209.12.10, 5209.19.20, 5209.21.10, 5209.21.90, 5209.22.00, 5209.29.10, 5209.29.90.
The Tribunal's investigation recommenced on July 17, 1998, and will be conducted by way of written submissions. To participate in the Tribunal's investigation, the requester or an interested party must file with the Tribunal a notice of appearance in Form I of the Textile Reference Guidelines on or before August 7, 1998. The Tribunal's recommendations to the Minister of Finance are scheduled to be issued by November 16, 1998.
